American Corner Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (Amcor UMY) is a resource center for information and programs highlighting American culture, education, history, current events, and government under the partnership between Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and the U.S. Embassy Jakarta. Amcor UMY is located in building D on the second floor. In campus administration, Amcor UMY is coordinated directly by the central library of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The form of cooperation between the U.S. Embassy Jakarta and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is to expand information about America with the five basic core activities of the American Corner:

American Corner Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta provides spaces for students that can be used for studying, doing assignments, and various other positive activities. Amcor UMY also provides various resources that can be used by visitors, such as books, computers, kindles, DVDs, TVs, VR 360, Wii, game boards, and others. Amcor UMY runs two types of programs that can be followed at the American Corner of UMY, namely the daily program and the annual program. The daily programs are Tea Talk, Fun Conversation, Grammar in Focus Time (GIFT), Coffee Dialogue, Game Challenge, Music on Today (Monday), English Teaching Forum (ETF), Literacy Appreciation, Movie Talk, The States, and Islam in America. For the annual programs, Amcor UMY has been running programs related to Earth Day, Thanksgiving celebration, Halloween, UMY Jazz, and SHERO. All programmings at the American Corner was inspired by the five core programs from the U.S. Embassy Jakarta, and it is called Menu of the Month.
